Insight

It was a day that proved difficult for market leaders, with the favourite strike rate holding at 33%. While punters were on the mark with the victory of Dribble (3.00) and The Prince (4.33), several short-priced favourites failed to justify their support, most notably in the Prix Ici Mayenne where Blackbird was turned over, allowing Sacred Union (19.00) to spring a significant upset.

The track conditions clearly played a role in the day’s results, particularly in the jumping races, rewarding those with proven ability on soft ground. Trainers J Parize and the jockey duo of Molins and Guyon were the clear standout performers, demonstrating excellent form at this venue.
